Wednesday sees Tim the Teacher spinning only the vinyliest vinyl round his love decks the best of post-punk, psycho-billy and alt-rock, with a twist and pungent injection of ye olde familiar. Double-denim-clad, this curl-locked enigma is causing something of a rumpus round these parts, with his two-fingered salute to the happy clappy tunesters...come for some serious toe-tapping to the stuff you thought you could never love. Think again.

THURSDAY
Thursday night in Apotheca is Zvook – The NQ's craziest musical melee thrust in your general direction by Sir Dancealot – Andy Hunt. DJ'ing has never been such a visual art as it is when Andy is unleashed...energy bounces round the room like Flubber gone wrong to a broad soundtrack of things you know, things you don't know and things that make you say no. It's brilliant...it's fun and even better he's back again on Saturday with more of the bigger hits but plenty of stuff to make salivate in your ears!

FRIDAY
Friday night is our hey you, DJ, come play with us night... April 24th will have guest DJ Paul Barker (of Beat Boutique fame) churning out some real Northern soul, funk and Motown classics. It's twist-friendly , head-nodding deliciousness.

Friday 30th April will see Andy Hunt taking the Friday mantle leaving Saturday May 1st open to Carly C – the guilty pleasure-cum-reggae-cum-60's and 90's revivalist. It's what you want, it's what you thought you'd never get...Dolly Parton? Sir yes sir.

Apotheca Flicks

In a time of cultural indifference, social and economic upheaval, where watching the news is akin to an episode of "terrorists say the funniest things" and to top it all there's bugger all on the big screen that doesn't include wizards, robots or jailbait vampires, two men dare to flip the bird to conventional film nights, now, more than ever we need quality escapism!

Every Tuesday evening starting at 7pm, two films back to back, from art house to grind house, whatever your penchant there's something to fill the cinematic void.

No "chick flicks" darken our doorstep, baby is always left in the corner, we have the most comfortable seating outside of a leading furniture store advertisement , free popcorn and of course drink promotions.

First come first comfy, give it a shot, your cinephile taste buds may just depend on it.
